Account & Data Deletion Policy

1. Purpose

This Account & Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request deletion of their Momzy account and the personal information associated with it.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their Momzy account through the account-deletion mechanism made available by Momzy.

Option 1 — Account deletion from the Momzy app

Option 2 — Contact Momzy at info@momzycare.in to initiate a deletion request.

Momzy may require reasonable information to verify the identity of the requester before processing the request.

3. What Happens When You Request Deletion

Once a deletion request is verified and processed, Momzy will delete or anonymise personal information associated with the account where reasonably possible and subject to applicable law.

This may include:

• Account and profile information.
• Health and postpartum information provided to Momzy.
• Consultation information, notes and consultation history.
• Other personal information associated with the account that is not required to be retained for a lawful purpose.

4. Information That May Be Retained

Certain information may need to be retained for legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, security or other legitimate purposes. This may include certain records relating to purchases, orders, transactions or other legally required records.

Where information is retained, Momzy will retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose and will handle it in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable law.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

Some information may have been processed by third-party service providers used by Momzy, such as cloud, payment, video-consultation, analytics, communications and delivery providers. Deletion by Momzy does not necessarily mean that every copy held independently by a third party is immediately deleted.

Where appropriate, Momzy may request deletion or apply relevant retention requirements in accordance with its arrangements with service providers and applicable law.

6. Effect of Account Deletion

Account deletion is generally permanent. After deletion, you may lose access to your account, consultation history, plans, saved information and other account features. You may need to create a new account if you wish to use Momzy again, subject to the terms applicable at that time.

7. Verification and Processing

Momzy may take reasonable steps to verify an account-deletion request before acting on it, particularly where the request involves sensitive personal information. Requests will be processed within the period required by applicable law and subject to any lawful exceptions to deletion.
